Therefore we now have a few more days grace before we have to shut. We will now be closing our doors on Wednesday night and hopefully be reopening on 2 December. This will give us time to get the Christmas Decorations up Kerry Greenwood. 🤣🤣 Stay safe.[10/30/20] An open letter to Craig Whittaker MP You voted against making rented accommodation fit for human habitation, You voted against protecting the NHS from privatisation, You then voted against feeding hungry children. You have never voted against accepting a pay rise. You have never voted against tax payer subsidised food and drink for yourself. My family and I have decided that you are not the type of person that we want in our pub. This also goes for the other 321 MPs who also shamed themselves by voting to let children go hungry. You're barred from the commercial/railway. T.Greenwood ...licencee. Getting ready for Halloween 2020🤷🏻♂️❤️❤️ New Gins available at the Commercial, to add to our already gorgeous gin collection! 🍇🍒🍸🍹💞[09/23/20] After the government’s announcement we would like to reassure all our customers that the safety and welfare of our customers & staff is still our top priority.
We don't need to make many changes but from Thursday the 24th some things may be slightly different -
*Our opening hours will change 12pm- 10pm everyday. Last orders will be 9.30pm and because of government legislation the pub doors will be closed at 10pm.
*Our Track and Trace system will continue and must be used ( refusal to use this system correctly will result in refusal to be served)
*All staff will be wearing protective face coverings.
*Customers will also be required to wear face coverings when not seated at their table.
*When visiting the pub you will be seated and it will be table service only - please wait for us to seat you and we will look after you. Cash and Card Payments are both happily accepted!
*The rule of 6 will remain in place - Our maximum table size is 6 people.
* We will continue to keep up our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene - we do however ask you to use the hand gels provided as often as possible.
As mentioned all of the above comes into place from Thursday 24th September. Please show us as much patience as possible as this is not only new to you the customer it’s also new for our staff team.
We would once again like to thank all our amazing customers who have been so supportive and understanding!

From all the team at The Commercial RailwayBrighouse BID Brighouse BID is committed to supporting the town centre and supporting the local economy by delivering high-quality events. However, at this difficult time, we need to prioritise public health and safety. We are working closely to follow the Government’s guidance and have therefore decided to postpone the Brighouse events including the Brighouse Easter Trail (Saturday 11th April), the April Artisan Market (Sunday 26th April) and the Brighouse 1940’s Weekend (Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th June). Due to the Government’s guidelines on social distancing and their declaration that emergency services will not support events, it is with heavy hearts that we have to make this tough decision but we will find an alternative date later in the year for our popular 1940’s Weekend. We will continue to review the COVID-19 virus and follow Government guidelines before committing to a new date. #keepsafe #covid19[03/18/20] We’d just like to update you on our current plan of business.
As per government guidance we are going to remain open until further notice.
During this time we are taking a few extra steps to ensure that we keep the safety of both our customers and staff paramount
These measures include -
• Quiz, Pool League and Darts/Doms/5&3’s will be cancelled until further notice as not to promote gatherings.
• As well as Extra Sanitising Measures have Been Put in Place.
If you feel unwell at all we would ask you to postpone your visit at this time.
We want to thank you for your loyalty at this worrying time. 🎱‼️ Important Announcement ‼️🎱
