This will be weather dependent.

Please adhere to current guidance for tier 2 and ensure that at anytime when you are not seated that you wear a face covering.
Booking would be advisable as space will be limited so please message us on Facebook to book or call the inn on 01392 873862.
We shall be closed from the 23rd -27th and shall review the situation after Christmas.
Thank you to all the lovely staff for coming and helping decorate and clean the inn ready to welcome customers in again for a short festive time. Lots of you have asked to buy a Firepit I now have a few available for sale. £30 each. If you would like one please send me a message Riannon[12/02/20] We are so sorry that after a day of deliberating on the best way forward. We have come to the conclusion that it is better for us to wait for the review on December 16th. It is just too soon to open with so many grey areas. Thank you all for your support and we look forward to opening in the near future. Stay safe all xx[12/02/20] Thank you so much for all your messages asking what we are planning now that we are in tier 2.
We are still making plans and hoping to open next week from Wednesday at lunchtime with pasties and soup.
We hope to open on a few evenings serving either pasties with winter slaw and chutney, or soup with crusty bread followed by a warm mince pie. Each evening will have a vegan and meat option. On another evening we would like to welcome back local musicians with live music, this would be a ticketed event.
We will potentially only be outside as the Bridge tends to be a place where friends meet so please wrap up warm, bring a blanket and a hot water bottle! We will also be serving mulled cider and wine and hot chocolate as well as our normal drinks to keep warm from the inside out!
Firepits will be available to be pre booked and we would hugely appreciate pre booking for evenings so we can manage staff and food quantities.
We will keep you posted as the plan unfolds over the next few days but hope to see you back at the inn very soon. We miss you all very much.
Thank you for bearing with us.
xx We just wanted to say an enormous thank you to our fabulous staff who have worked so hard getting to grips with all the new technology and run around the malt house, car park and top bars serving customers. Hopefully your feet can have a little rest in lockdown take 2!
Also to all our friends old and new who came and supported us whilst we have been open and helped drink all the tapped barrels of beer this week! Wednesday was one of those special evenings in the inn full of love and energy.
We have battened down the hatches for now whilst waiting for this COVID storm to subside. Wishing everyone love and health over the next month and hope to see you in a month for some more merriment!
With love Riannon and Caroline xx The beers for today... Beautiful morning on the river Clyst. We shall be open from noon till last orders at 9.30pm today. Before lockdown take two.
Thank you to all our customers for all your support over the last few months and stay safe and healthy we look forward to seeing you all on the other side ### Sunshine, showers and rainbows!! With the bad weather today the top bar shall be open with limited seating as well as the malt house and the fires will be roaring! Covered seating outside under the pagoda is also available. If you would like to ensure you have seating inside please call 01392 873862 to book a booth or table. Our next step in making the inside of the inn COVID safe for winter is the addition of these cosy booths in the malt house, if you would like to take a step back in time and book a booth please call us on 01392 873862, preferably for 4 or more and the top bar can accommodate smaller numbers as we have such limited seating inside.
Many thanks to Jamie Andrews at instagram: Backdrop_design for making them! Tomorrow eve Saturday 10th October we shall be welcoming in Autumn with festoon and fire pits!
Mulled Cider, Fireball Hot Chocolate, Apple cake and custard and S'mores shall be available alongside our normal menu.
The fire pits will be back, but due to the large cost of wood we need to ask for a contribution of £5 per fire pit for the wood for an evening. Fire pits can be booked if you would like one set aside for your group on a fine evening. Please call 01392 873862 or messenger us to book.
Fire pits will be lit as and when requested to avoid wasting any wood.

Gorgeous morning in the Clyst Valley, our beers for today[10/05/20] Please note that our winter opening hours every day are now 12-3pm Lunchtime 5.30-9.30pm Evening From Thursday there shall be limited parking in the car park We will be open in the malt house today, due to the weather and the fire will be roaring. There will be very limited seating inside until the screens are installed. Please ensure you wear face covering when not seated. Many thanks xx Autumnal morning on the River Clyst and the beers for today! Thank you so much to everyone for bearing with us with the new table service legislation! And your cheery waving of flags! We are getting to grips with the technology![09/25/20] Please note that tomorrow we shall be closed from 2pm-5.30pm for a wedding We planned our opening with great care to protect our staff and customers through this pandemic. Our system has worked well and been respected by our customers and staff. We are only open outside at present and no customers enter the inn. We have had many comments from customers that they all feel so safe in the way everything works.
With the new legislation coming into force tomorrow we have had to review procedures in order for us to remain open, we will now only be able to serve at the table. We feel that we are now putting our staff and customers more at risk than we currently are, but we have to comply. We do not know how long we will be able to do this with the large staffing increase and staff members who are vulnerable.
We realise that the legislation is a blanket one encompassing all pubs and cafes, but hope that in the weeks to come this will be reviewed and local authorities will be able to look at different businesses as individuals. As we operate more like a takeaway.
After speaking to local authorities who believe that at present we are running a COVID safe business, we would like to ask our customers to write to Simon Jupp our MP explaining that there is a need for businesses to be looked at individually. If you are able to email him at [email protected] we would be hugely grateful.
We thank you as always for all your support and please bear with us whilst we find our feet again. Caroline and Riannon xx A misty night by the River Clyst. We thank you so much for this and making us feel comfortable and happy that we can continue safely. Thank you also for bearing with us with limited staff and new ways of working. Photo by Marcus Bartlett We are ready to welcome you back from 12 noon today.
